Why i’m not continuing with Residential Retreats (for now).
It’s been just over a year since my last retreat in Spain… and I’ve found myself reflecting a lot on the past few years of hosting these experiences.
The sunsets, the laughter, the release people feel when they arrive, the connections formed over shared meals and the quiet moments in between…
Retreats have been some of the most meaningful experiences I’ve ever created 🤍
And many of you still ask about them, when the next will be… or reminders of how special they were… which means so much.
So I wanted to be open about where I’m at.
Right now, I’ve made the decision not to continue with residential retreats - for now, not forever.
Not because I don’t love them…
But because of what they require behind the scenes.
Over time, I’ve really felt:
• The rising costs of venues, making it harder to price retreats accessibly and sustainably
• The pressure of holding everything alone (the last two I hosted on my own) — from planning to hosting, and SO much in between
• The unpredictability of hosting abroad — flights, delays, things completely out of my control
• The sheer amount of planning alongside running my day-to-day business beforehand
And if I’m honest… it started to feel a little overwhelming..
So for now, I’m choosing to step back from residential retreats and focus on offering spaces that feel more sustainable, grounded, and aligned — both for me and for you.
But in many ways… the essence of what retreats offer - connection, community, rest and nourishment, creating space to come home to yourself - is still woven into everything I create.
Thank you to everyone who’s been part of this journey so far.
It truly means more than I can put into words. I will hold these special memories with me.
With love,
Jess
