Learning to hold space in a corporate setting.

Facilitating wellness sessions in corporate and workplace settings has been such a learning curve.

The groups are so varied — many people are trying yoga, breathwork or sound healing for the first time. Some are genuinely curious and leave feeling surprised, softened, and even way more open than when they walked in.

And then there are others who might be there because it’s scheduled in… who might be on their phones during a sound bath (yes really!), who seem distant or even a little resistant. At first, I wasn’t sure how to meet that energy. But I’m learning, the more I experience — not everyone will connect, and that’s okay. Not everyone will be changed by what you share, and that’s okay too.

Because then there’s one person. One person who stays back to say they felt something they’ve never felt before. They don’t quite know how to explain it but, something shifted. That they didn’t feel the pain in their body that’s always there. That the experience made them face something deep down. That maybe, something in their life needs to change.

That moment — that connection — is what makes it meaningful.

That’s why I keep showing up.

And that’s what happened last week.

After doubting myself earlier in the week — after someone said something that left me questioning things — this moment reminded me: keep going. People in all kinds of settings need this work.

And if you can reach the ones who never would’ve chosen this, but find themselves there and leave impacted… well, that’s the point isn’t it?!
